The Bonne Vie School is dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential and giving them the best possible start to life.  Our mission is to provide a learning environment that nurtures the spirit of the child and creates joyful learners. Our director, Glennelle Anderson, has been a Montessori preschool teacher for more than 30 years. Her business partner and our primary lead teacher, Nadine Mouton, has been a Montessori teacher since 1987. 

What We Do

The Bonne Vie School offers a traditional nine month day school.  Our school day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm. Students who nap easily are invited to nap at school. Children under  four who have outgrown their nap are dismissed at 12:00 carpool. Children four years old and older are encouraged to stay for our extended academic day until 2:30 pm.

Our philosophy is hand-in-hand with that of Maria Montessori.

Our guiding principles are:

• Respect for the natural development of the child;
• Observation of sensitive periods for optimal learning;
• Natural and logical consequences for inappropriate behavior;
• Care of the environment both in our school and on our planet;and
• Freedom within limits, creating self-control rather than imposed control.

Our children range in age from 18 months to six years. Optional enrichment classes are available three days a week.

The Bonne Vie School is conveniently located in the Afton Oaks area.  We are a community minded school serving the greater Houston area.

Potential families are invited to schedule an interview.  This will be followed by classroom observation and a follow-up discussion.

Bonne Vie offers one Toddler class for children 18 months to three years of age.  This class will have a maximum of 15 students with one lead teacher and two assistant teachers.

Bonne Vie offers one Primary class of children three to six years of age.  This class  will have a maximum of 24 children with one lead teacher and one assistant teacher.

Bonne Vie are a Full Member School of the American Montessori Society.  We are beginning the accreditation process  through NAEYC this school year and through the American Montessori Society next school year.
